Christantus Uche Ignites Dominant Palace Victory at Irish Side Shelbourne.
Despite embarking on their maiden continental adventure, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Missing key figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually secures them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their next fixture against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to secure straight entry to the last 16, especially following a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Grasp the Moment
This occasion provided a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, scoring for the second consecutive match.

After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his very first touch, but saw his shot blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, capping an otherwise positive night for the visiting side.
